2D Animation and Rotoscoping

Rotoscope Animation Based on Polina Ivanyuk's Choreography

For this project, I created a frame-by-frame 2D animation using the rotoscoping technique. The animation was based on a performance by choreographer Polina Ivaniuk, with every movement carefully recreated to preserve the fluidity, dynamics, and emotional expression of the original dance.

The project required a high level of precision and attention to detail. Each frame was drawn manually, allowing me to accurately capture complex dance movements and the unique character of the performance. Special attention was given to smooth transitions between frames to maintain a natural sense of motion and the feeling of a live performance.

In addition to the animation itself, I developed the project's visual style, transforming real-life movement into a stylized artistic representation while maintaining the authenticity of the choreography. This approach combined the expressive qualities of traditional animation with the realism of human motion.
